I would like to mention that Cora and I are pleased and gratified that Handy, a solid black whippet, won the first ever “People’s Choice Award” during the Top 20 at the AWC Nationals this year. It is a thrill and an honor to be selected by our peers for this award and shows how far the black whippets have come.

Ch Appraxin Mysterious Ways JC “Sam” now 15 years old was offered to Phoebe at the age of 6 years. After going to Phoebe, he finished his championship at the AWC Eastern Specialty under Carol Willumsen . He is a lovely black dog !!! Bred by Cal Perry, he is out of a "Duke" (Slades Dixieland Dandi Duke) x "Blueberry” (Shamasan Queen for a Day) daughter, Konza Appraxin Bluebery and by “Davin”, Ch Morshor’s Majestic Dell LCM ROM, the only black male Davin ever produced. Sam is the sire of Champions, Dual Champions and ARX dogs, and his latest litter, from a natural breeding, is just 4 months old!! Although he lives with Phoebe, his registered owners are Cathy Gaidos and Terry Floyd.
