On 8/30/91 the first akc coursing event was a JC test at Dean Wright's house in Hanover, PA. The next day 8/31/91 MDIHC had a trial same location. The IW went Best in Field, Judges Camille Mendicino, Les Pekarski, Daphne Bell, Lyle Gillette and Best in Field was Dean and Les Pekarski...
Also on 8/31/91 at the Tallahassee Kennel Club trial in Tallahassee, FL entry of 11, Afghan Hound was BIF, Vernon Dill and Jan Swayze were the judges.
Then on 9/1/91 at the Tallahassee Kennel Club Trial the first whippet won an AKC Best in Field, BIF HH In The Moonlight, SC, FCh. “Rose” bred and owned by Robin Barry, Hound Hollow.

Field Champion (FC)
15 points with two majors under two different judges
Lure Courser Excellent (LCX)
Once a field champion, the whippet must earn 45 more championship points from the
Specials or Veterans stakes.
Junior Courser (JC)
This is one qualifying run alone. Two runs on different days gain this certificate.
Then the dog can compete in open.
Senior Courser (SC)
From the open stake, four qualifying scores under three different judges running with at
least one other whippet for this certificate.
Master Courser (MC)
Once a SC, the whippet needs another 25 qualifying scores with a competition in any stake.
Also on 9/1/91 the Irish Wolfhound Hunt Club in Chino Ca had a trial, BIF was a whippet owned by Sue Smith, Bob’n Odd Man Out, FCH, SC Judges were Ed Patterson and Barbara Allen.
MDIHC did 3 days on Memorial Day Week end.
