13. In hindsight...is there a breeding you wished that looking back you had done?
Yes, I wish I had bred our SBIS, MBIF, and Multiple Select Ch Wistwind's Eli LCM II Can F CH to my special girl "Twinkle" ( Ch Wistwind's Twinkle LCMII Can F CH). We bred him to Twinkle's sister, "Dazzle" ( CH Wistwind's Dazzle LCM, Can F CH - who was Elite's dam) and we just never got around to breeding him to Twinkle. I wish I had............as the first litter was quite nice and produced our Elite, one of my old favorites .

12. Do you feel this is important to the breed to be involved in more than one aspect of the breed ?
Yes, yes, and YES !!! I feel it is VERY important. I feel that running is the essence of this wonderful breed! They were bred to run, run, and then run some more. They should be a wonderful pet and show dog, who is also a functional athletic animal. Doing what they were bred to do, is not only good for the dog, it is GREAT for the owner to see their very own dog, doing what it was originally bred to do. For us, the athleticism is what attracts us to the whippets first. Obedience, rally, and agility are all fun, activities to showcase your smart, active, companion too! I have not done any tracking but admire Ule and Connie James for their training in this venue. There is SOOOO much more than just showing your whippet. . We enjoy showing our dogs, but participating in the athletic aspects is so much more satisfying and fulfilling for us AND the dogs!
